Spend the day with Fish For Reel and find out what the fishing in Murrells Inlet is all about! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Aaron can tell you all about them.
Top targets include Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Grunt, King Mackerel, Black Seabass, Mangrove Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, and more, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish.
Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
You’ll find yourself aboard a 30’ Sailfish center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don’t leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Fish For Reel!
