Cloud 9 Fishing Charters, led by Captain Carson Engelke, offers unparalleled fishing experiences in the waters of Murrells Inlet. With over eight years of experience in the fishing world and a deep-rooted connection to the sea, Captain Carson guides anglers of all skill levels on unforgettable adventures.
Species like Sailfish, Vermilion Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Black Seabass, Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, and more inhabit these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Embark on a journey aboard the 31’ Cape Horn charter fishing boat, equipped with dual 300 Suzuki motors for power and reliability. Safety is paramount with a comprehensive array of life jackets and essential safety gear onboard. Advanced navigation technology, including autopilot, radar, sonar, and a chart plotter, ensures a smooth and efficient fishing experience. Capt. Carson has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Don’t forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a novice, Captain Carson’s commitment to safety and passion for fishing guarantee an enjoyable and memorable day on the water with Cloud 9 Fishing Charters.
