- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Beach Front Suite with Stunning Views 4th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
