Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing and booking the perfectrental home:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 12th Floor 3BR Condo a Seaside Haven has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
