Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Seaside Tranquility Spacious Suite 5th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, email the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
