Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose yourrental home:
- Start by having your group decide on dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Waterside Paradise Suite with Views 5th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
