Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 1162 CC · Bluetique. Oceanfront Studio. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
