How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and picking the bestrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 1162 CC · Bluetique. Oceanfront Studio. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
