How to book the best vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 12th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, WiFi & hot tub - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is right for your group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
