Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • To book the largest rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

How to select the best rental:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 2 bdrm, ocean view near Family Kingdom w\/ pool, hot tub, tennis court, balcony! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
