Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
