Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:

- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront home on 8th Floor w\/AC, WiFi, shared pool\/hot tub - snowbird friendly has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.

- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
