Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the perfectrental home:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Amazing Ocean View Suite w\/ King Bed + On-Site Pool has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
