Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Angle Oceanfront Two Bedroom w\/ View + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
