Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. BARBIE'S BEACH HOUSE in Ocean Lakes, 2 Bdr 2 Ba has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
