Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
