Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
How to select the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Beautiful townhome in the heart of Myrtle Beach - close to many golf courses!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
