Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best rental:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Bluewater Resort #514 Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Additional considerations:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
