How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick yourvacation home:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Charming condo in the center of Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Contact the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
