Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. \"Chasing Waves\"~Gorgeous Oceanfront King Condo, Living Room, Walk-in Shower has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you reserve your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
