Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cloud 9-er has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
