Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To book the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.

Planning and picking the bestvacation home:

  • First, have your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Coastal Serenity Spacious Suite with View 14th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
