How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Coastal Serenity Spacious Suite with View 14th Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

During your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
