Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

How to select the best rental home:

  • First, have your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cozy 3 bedroom 2 bath in Award Winning Ocean Lakes Family Campground!!!!!!!!!!!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
