Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Direct Oceanfront Condo-Sandy Beach Resort 1610- Sleeps 6! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
