How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Direct Oceanfront Condo-Sandy Beach Resort 1610- Sleeps 6! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If not, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
