Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Direct OceanFront Suite in MB! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
