Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding the best value:
- To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Feel @ Home in Casita Cruz, Pool, 2miles beach, Laundry, King Bed & Free Parking has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
