Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Gorgeous 1 Bedroom Condo on the Golden Mile has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
