Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Gorgeous Ocean View Double Suite w\/ Balcony + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
