Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. FLIP FLOP FUN. BREATHTAKING OCEAN VIEW FROM BALCONY, 65\"TV, SHOWER SPA, KINGBED has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
