Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Great Ocean Front Unit - Grand Atlantic 1002 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
