Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick yourrental home:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Harbour Lights Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC for Bike Week! #2 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
