How to get the best vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Heated pools and direct oceanfront at Coral Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
