Tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Deluxe King Suite Spectacular Views 14th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
