Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanview Room 3rd Floor Retreat with Amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your contract.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
