Our top Rental property booking tips:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the perfect rental:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Kingston Plantation Condo with Lake view ... 5 min walk to ocean! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your group.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
