Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the rightrental:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. MYR4 Myrtle Beach Resort Oceanview condo! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
