Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Newly Renovated Condo 2 Bedroom 2 Bath \nOcean Forest Villas E306 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
