Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental:
- Start by having your family choose dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Ocean Front Condo. Just steps from the beach. With Balcony. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More tips for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
