Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Views on Lake Magnolia has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
