Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Sea Watch Resort Myrtle Beach-Oceanfront Studio- amazing views and amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
