Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront 1 bedroom - Sand Dunes 1129 - Sleeps 6! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If not, call the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
