Our top Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Reserve your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront Studio With Massive Indoor Waterpark! Water Slides and More! Dunes Village Resort 347 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
