How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront*King*ALL Amenities*Waterslide*FREE Tickets*Y52 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
