Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Oceanview Oasis - A427 at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
