Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:
Get the best value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. One of a Kind Penthouse--All New! A Beach Lover's Dream Vacation Rental+Locker!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
