Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- To start, have your family commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. One of a Kind Penthouse--All New! A Beach Lover's Dream Vacation Rental+Locker!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
