Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- To find the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. B312 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Relaxing Coastal Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review.
