Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Relaxing Coastal Escape- B312 at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
