Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Sandy Ocean View King Bed Accessible 5th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
