How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose and book your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Sea Glass Tower, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 1 Bedroom Standard- Limited View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
