Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Carol Bay Unit 202 - Ocean view has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
