Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the perfectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Serenity at Shore Drive! Sands Beach Club, marvelous sunrise view, sleeps 8, 2\/2 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
