Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Sheraton Broadway Resort Villas, 2bd\/2ba condo, extra large has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
